Terms & Conditions
Last updated: June 2026
1. Who you are contracting with
OkayDivorce (the "Service") is operated by Artagia Inc., a corporation registered in Canada ("Artagia", "we", "us", "our"). By using the Service you are entering into a contract with Artagia Inc.
2. Acceptance
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be of legal age in your province to enter into a binding contract.
3. What OkayDivorce is — and is not
OkayDivorce provides educational content, organisational tools, AI-assisted information, and document-preparation tools for Canadians navigating separation and divorce. OkayDivorce is not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice and no solicitor-client relationship is created by your use of the Service. For legal advice on your specific situation, retain a licensed family lawyer in your province.
4. Account and your responsibilities
You must provide accurate information and keep your account credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
5. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes, fraud, harassment, or spam.
- Infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights.
- Probe, scan, scrape, or attempt to compromise the security of the Service.
- Upload malware or attempt to interfere with the Service's operation.
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service or its content.
6. AI Counsel and AI-generated outputs
The Service includes AI features, including "AI Counsel". AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date and must not be relied upon as legal, financial, tax, or professional advice. You are responsible for verifying any AI output before acting on it, for the prompts you enter, and for ensuring you have the rights to any content you provide. We reserve the right to filter, refuse, or remove prompts or outputs and to suspend accounts engaged in abuse, jailbreaking, or harmful use.
7. Coaching and third-party professionals
The Service may let you book sessions with independent divorce coaches or other professionals. Those professionals provide their services under their own terms; they are not employees or agents of Artagia. Coaches do not provide legal advice.
8. Payments, subscriptions, and Merchant of Record
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
By purchasing, you also agree to the Paddle Checkout Buyer Terms which govern payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics. Subscription renewals, cancellations, and billing dates are set out at checkout and managed through your account.
9. Refunds
We offer a 30-day refund window — see our Refund Policy.
10. Intellectual property
Artagia Inc. owns the Service, including its software, content, templates, and branding. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use within your active plan. You retain ownership of content you upload; you grant us a limited licence to host and process it solely to provide the Service.
11. Service availability and warranties
We work to keep the Service available and accurate but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Artagia's aggregate liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Artagia against claims arising from your content, your use of the Service in breach of these Terms, or your unlawful use of the Service.
14. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated policy violations. On termination, you can export your data for a reasonable period before deletion.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Disputes will be brought in the courts of Ontario, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your province of residence.
16. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email or in-product notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
